Mac_32 Creating a keyboard shortcut to set the current account in Apple Mail

If you have more than one email account setup in Apple, it's nice to be able to select the one you want to send a message from without having to use the mouse.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Select the "Keyboard" section of "System Preferences"
  2. Select the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab
  3. Select the "Application Shortcuts" section on the left pane
  4. Click the '+' button to add a new shortcut
  5. Select the "Mail" application and enter your info

The "Menu Title" field must be exactly as your account name appears in mail when you are selecting the account you want to send a message from:

    "Your Name <>"

  6. Select your preferred shortcut and press "Add"

I like Control-1 for my first account, increasing in number for each account.
